Easy
Racers recumbents are a pleasure to ride. You sit slightly
reclined in a normal sitting position; back fully supported,
arms relaxed, and neck straight. Compare
this with the contorted riding position on a diamond-frame
bike. Even after a long day of touring, you're
still riding in comfort on one of our bikes. No
more stiff neck, no more aching back, numb hands or
sore crotch. A combination of lower mountain bike gears
with higher road bike ranges ensures the correct gear
ratio for any terrain. No matter which of our modles
you choose, Javelin, Tour
Easy, Gold Rush, Fold
Rush, or Ti-Rush, you'll
be experiencing the next generation of cycling on an Easy
Racer. |
This is Ron Bobb riding the Ti-Rush,
a titanium replica of the bicycle which broke 65mph to win
the DuPont Championship. |

From the bikes we simply
design to the ones we build right here in our California
factory, we hit a wide range of price points and accommodate
a variety of performance needs. Whether you're headed around
the block or across the continent, just cruising or flat-out
flyin', there's an Easy Racer for you. Nine frame sizes
allow us to find the appropriately sized bike for riders
from 4’10” to
6'7". If you're ready to see which size bike will best
fit you, you'll need to measure your X-Seam (standard
sizes are listed, for an additional fee larger or smaller
bikes can be made).
We
use predominantly Shimano components in
the drive train, as you would expect. Ergonomically designed
seats are carbon based and Kevlar® reinforced, with thrice-layered
foam. Our Koolback seat can be made to measure over 14" wide.
Black Lycra® seat covers conveniently unlace for easy
washing. Windshield fairings are made specifically for Easy
Racers, by Zzip Designs, from strong, shatter-resistant
Lexan®.
The fairing does double duty reducing both wind resistance
and wind chill factors. As always, bike frames, handlebars,
and seats are manufactured in the United
States at the Easy
Racers factory in Freedom, CA. We use the
same specifications laid out in 1979 by Gardner Martin, designer
of the Gold Rush, the winner of the $30,000 DuPont Prize
when it became the first bike to break 65mph. |

Our eye-catching styling
will get you noticed. However, the use of standard bicycle
components insures that spares and repairs will be available
at any bike shop, no matter where you live. Most panniers,
racks, packs, accessories, etc. will work fine on these bikes
(but see our EasyShop for
specially designed accessories for Easy Racers). Car-topping,
trunk, or bumper rack transports work fine too. Each bike
that we sell undergoes a thorough test including final brake
and shifter adjustments. Packed-to-protect in oversized boxes,
bikes ship via UPS, and assemble quickly
with the included instructions. The original owner enjoys
a lifetime warranty on all Easy Racers manufactured
frames and a limited warranty on forks, seats and other components.
