Nova scotia and PEI

I am planning a trip on my Gold Rush in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island in mid-August. Have any of you ridden there? Any advice?.......d.

tour PEI

PEI has many miles of fine touring. One of my favorites is the route from Wood Islands ferry terminal to Georgetown. This leg follows the coast on routes 18 and 17. In my experience, these roads are free of traffic and very well maintained. Don't miss the restaurant on the wharf at Graham's Pond and then go on to the beach at Panmure Island.
Our tour to PEI 2 weeks ago consisted of a series of 80k loops out of Summerside. One loop went west to the "French Coast". Another went north up the east side of Malpeque Bay. Lots of nice hills between Darnley and New London. My favorite loop went up the west side of Malpeque Bay. Super waterviews, great, empty roads and lunch on the deck of the pub in Tyne Valley.
Vermont Cycle Tours has a base in PEI and may be a source of info.

Hope this helps
